O Museu de Arte da Pampulha (MAP) é singular por sua história e vanguarda. A vocação para a modernidade já nasce estampada em uma arquitetura oriunda de um projeto arrojado e transformador.

Em uma trajetória de seis décadas, revelou um acervo extraordinário em potência e diversidade, construído a partir de um embrião fomentado em terras mineiras. Logo ganhou amplitude nacional e internacional, projetando novos nomes fundamentais para a consolidação do cenário brasileiro modernista e contemporâneo. 

Um olhar cuidadoso e atento para esta coleção tão rica foi capaz de unir essas duas instituições, MAP e Casa Fiat de Cultura, em um projeto ousado em grandiosidade e inovador no recorte. Novas vozes emergem desse encontro, que convida o visitante a um novo percurso conceitual e artístico.

Esta mostra celebra os 80 anos do Conjunto Moderno da Pampulha em todos os seus significados. Desvela novos ângulos que habitam esse Patrimônio Cultural da Humanidade, nutrindo vínculos de pertencimento e identidades.   

Mais uma vez, a Casa Fiat de Cultura cumpre seu papel de trazer ao público uma exposição marcante para a história da ARTE BRASILEIRA, que reforça nossos laços com Belo Horizonte e as relações culturais entre Minas, Brasil e o mundo, hoje e no futuro.

PRESIDENT OF CASA FIAT DE CULTURA

The Pampulha’s Art Museum (MAP) is distinctive for its history and innovative character. Its vocation for modernity is already born stamped in an architecture that stems from a bold and transformative project.

In a trajectory spanning six decades, it has revealed an extraordinary collection in terms of its potential and diversity, built from the initial seed sown in the lands of Minas Gerais. It quickly gained national and international recognition, propelling new essential names for the consolidation of the Brazilian modernist and contemporary scene.

A careful and attentive gaze upon this rich collection has managed to unite these two institutions, MAP and Casa Fiat de Cultura, in a project that is bold in grandeur and innovative in scope. New voices emerge from this encounter, inviting the visitor to embark on a new conceptual and artistic journey.

This exhibition celebrates 80 years of the Pampulha’s Modern Complex in all its meanings. It unveils new perspectives that inhabit this Cultural Heritage of Humanity, nurturing bonds of belonging and identities.

Once again, Casa Fiat de Cultura fulfills its role in bringing to the public a significant exhibition for the history of BRAZILIAN ART, which reinforces our ties with Belo Horizonte and the cultural relations between Minas Gerais, Brazil and the world, today and in the future.
